We have stepped into the educational apostolate with the awareness that quality education is one of the real needs of the area and the real development can happen only providing quality education to the young children who would become the citizens of tomorrow. With this view in mind we are running 3 schools and one technical training institute. Among these, 2 schools are in Mananthavady and another school and technical training institute is in NR Pura.
Kusumagiri L P School was founded by late Rev. Fr. Mathew Kattady in 1983 in Mananthavady taluk of Wayanad district Kerala. The school is established in view of imparting knowledge to the economically backward students of the region. The aim of the Institute is to form the students in a holistic perspective. This year the government has made a preliminary study on upgrading our school into upper primary school. Last year Kusumagiri School could secure two first prizes in district level for sports and also gained first prize for the state education board education. At present Fr. Jose Chempukettickal is the manager of the school.
Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Dwaraka stands one of the latest ventures, which the Canonry of Mananthavady Norbertines has taken up in the field of education. Rev. Fr. Mathew Kattady founded the school in 1983 to foster the educational standard of the area. Later the school was elevated by the government facilitating pre-university courses. The school has the total strength of 1534 students and 75 staffs. Today the school remains as one of the best school in Wayanad district performing its excellence in discipline, academic programs, and co-curricular activities especially in science and arts festival in the district and state level. Today it has become a School with difference in Chickamangalore district. St. Nobert Industrial Centre was founded on August 2001 in NR Pura Taluk of Chikamangalure district Karnataka. The institute is established in view of imparting technical training to the economically backward students of the region. The aspirants stepping down from this institute are expected to be the cream and trendsetters in the society through self-reliance and self-determination. The institute offers courses on three industrial trades such as Electronic Mechanic (2 years), Automobile (2 years) and on Computer (1 year). All the three are recognized by the government of Karnataka and affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training. we have hostel facilites for the boys, which will be affordable for the students within their economical status. Apart from the Industrial Training we have a Motor Mechanical workshop, Driving school and non-formal computer classes for the students. At present Fr. Sajji Parekattil is the Director of the institute.
